I have another question- how well do Gtown econ majors do in finding jobs at consulting firms/investment banks?

Hey, I'm an econ major at Georgetown right now and I hope this will help. From my experience here, especially with econ majors, I wouldn't worry about getting in because your stats are just as high as the majority of people here. In my opinion, your ECs seer perfect for Gtown, they love anything international (that seems to be a HUGE trend here). As far as the jobs coming out of Gtown, from what I understand, most of the top firms have a small list of colleges that they hire from and Gtown is on most if not all of those lists. If you have any further questions about Gtown econ, post away, I'll see if I can help.

Thanks so much for responding. I'm just wondering one thing. My brother who is out of college has told me that since a lot of people major in econ at Gtown, that firms don't like it so much because it gets very boring and redundant. This is scarying me quite a lot. What do you think? Also, can you email me your SN b/c i have some other questions.

gnrgurl- your internships sound really interesting! I'm a junior now and my dream school is Georgetown and I was wondering how you got involved with the Grameen Bank and Washington Mutual jobs. Thanks so much. You sound like a great candidate.
