What math should I take as someone who isn't a huge fan of math? Would math 140 be okay, or do i at least need to do 150a/150b? vanderbilt says 2 semesters of math is recommended and that at least 1 is required, but i was wondering if anyone knew if 1 semester would actually be okay? thanks!

One semester of Math 140 would be fine.

do you know if cal 140 is offered both semesters incase i can’t get in for the fall? on the waitlist now.

140 will work well if you are planning on brushing up; however, in order to major in Economics, one semester of MATH150a or above is required.

According to the Undergraduate econ page as well as the Course Catalog, Math 150a is not required. Only one semester of calculus is required, and all required Econ courses with a calculus prerequisite accept Math 140.
