Econ Program?

Hello!

I was accepted into UCSD as an econ major for transfer and am planning on going there for the upcoming Fall term, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me on what I can expect when I go there. If anyone can tell me the pros and cons of the program, that would be most appreciated. I also want to know what we can do with an Econ major once we graduate with it. I really don’t know what to expect and it’s making me quite anxious. Also, what is the campus and general lifestyle like? I heard it was quite dead socially, so I’m worried about what I can do for fun in the first place if I don’t have a car as it is quite a big place.

If you live on campus as a transfer, life won’t be socially dead. There’s always something interesting going on at the Village.

The econ program is considered one of the best in the nation, particularly for economics research (as it’s pretty math-heavy).
