sup guys, i was wondering how easy it is to get into BU as an econ major, undergrad, applying early decision
Applying ED, specifically at BU, gives you some advantage, so if finances are not a big issue and BU is your top choice, applying ED to BU is a good idea. Economics is a major in the College of Arts and Sciences, which isn’t the hardest school in BU to get into, but it is also not the easiest one. It is still going to be difficult to get in, even applying ED. The acceptance rate was about 43% for ED last year against 34% overall, I don’t know about this year. The average GPA for admitted students (ED and RD) was 2025 and the average GPA an A-.
You still have time to take the SATs and improve grades if needed, so whatever the school you want to go is, I encourage you to keep working hard and taking the SAT at least twice! I took it only once and I regret it.
