Hey everyone,
Just started out on these forums and found a lot of useful info, but am still left pondering one question that someone can hopefully resolve.
I’m looking to transfer to ucd fall '13 via tag and am torn between econ and man. econ.
Can someone tell me the following:
-distinct differences between the two in terms of learned content
-the job prospects of each
-the difficulty of each

@ sopranokitty, are you majoring in either of them?
I have already looked over those links in the past but was hoping that someone with first hand experience could maybe chime in? :)

okok gotchya, I noticed you were a transfer from your previous posts.
on another note, where do you recommend living to maximize the social atmosphere for us transfers?

@ Rufflz: Next year, all transfer students will be living in Primero Grove, which is the apartment buildings in the Segundo area. Cuarto will no longer be the transfer student area, as all dorms (including the one I’m living in now, Webster Hall) there will be for freshmen next year. You can find out more about Primero Grove here:

I don’t live there (as I’ve said, I live in Webster Hall in the Cuarto area, and the entire Cuarto area is going to be for freshmen next year), so I don’t know. I can’t provide opinions about a location I’ve never lived in before. And how sociable it is depends on the people. For example, my roommate pretty much made friends with the entire Webster Hall building on her first day, while my 2 suitemates and I were pretty much okay with just the 4 of us. The girls on the 2nd floor (again, in my dorm building) throw a party near the end of every week (and also get in trouble with the conduct coordinator, who they apparently don’t listen to). So really, it depends on the people around you. But Frat Row is right across from Segundo.
