Econ with accounting/stats

I know these threads are extremely common but after looking into degree requirements and minor requirements I am considering majoring in Economics (B.A) and pairing it with a minor in either accounting or statistics.

Both seem to provide analytical skills but accounting seems to be more practical in applications than stats.

Any thoughts on which would be best for career skills?

Also I intend on getting a MBA with a finance concentration after undergrad.

Accounting will be more vocational, stats will be more general and applicable to more employers, especially if you major in econ. Firms that hire accountants will look for accounting majors first. If you want to be an accountant, major in accounting.

MBA school may not care - programs may require accounting for anyone who didn’t major in it/can place out.
