Economics and Computer Science Double Major.

Hey guys I am currently attending Rutgers New Brunswick and am interested in double majoring in Computer Science [B.S] and Economics [B.S]. I hear great things about these two majors and I am interested in both topics. I am already minoring in Economics. How hard is this and should I expect to graduate in 4 years? I am making graduating in 4 years my top priority and am willing to take some Summer classes to make this a possibility. Also how good is the job market outlook for a CS/Econ. double major?

If you have a double major, you qualify for jobs that seek both majors. I would look at that as a plus. I think the biggest problem you could run into is classes that overlap keeping you from getting a requirement in one discipline or the other. You are 18 years old so either you are a freshman or sophomore, so I see no reason you can’t figure out how to fit both in and graduate in four years. Start mapping out what classes are offered in which semesters.
