Economics and Statistics (BS)

Hey Guys,

I was admitted for Statistics at CMU along with offers for the SHS and QSSS programs, I am thinking about accepting the offer for the QSSS program and majoring in Economics and Statistics (BS) instead of just Stats. If I was accepted into the DHS for Stats, but didn't get in to Tepper, can I still major in Econ and Stats which is a major that spans across both departments?

On another note, how does the Economics and Statistics major stack up with other colleges across the country? I know CMU is ranked 9th in Stats and 15th in economics, but how does their Economics and Statistics major that spans across Dietrich and Tepper stack up?

Thanks!

I’m also interested in finding out more about SHS/QSSS. Did you find out any more info about the econ + stats program? :)

Hands down all the info you need on econ stats:
