Are economics majors at Notre Dame at a disadvantage when it comes to job placement because they aren't part of Mendoza?

In four years, I see myself trying to get a business job, but honestly, an Econ/Math path seems like it would be wayyy more interesting and enjoyable than a major in Finance or Accounting. I'm also considering engineering. Are engineers able to secure good jobs in the business world? Or do those types of opportunities usually go to Mendoza kids?

Thanks,
