Economics B.S or Economics B.A

I am thinking I want to do an Economics major while I do my premed prerequisites. Anyways what is the difference between the B.S and B.A in Economics? I am looking for something with not to much math since it isn't my strongest point, but economics sure does sound interesting!

Look at your college’s economics BA requirements; it no doubt contains less mathematics than a BS in economics. A degree in the latter will probably require more calculus and use more sophisticated statistical techniques (i.e.: advanced econometrics, etc.) Your college’s economics department can tell you more about the specific requirements, however.

B.A. is less technical; its still a great major/area to know about. It helps in sharpening up critical skills and writing.
