<p>Does anyone know anything concerning how well the economics department is regarded, how well it’s run, the availability of professors, the research opportunities, etc…? Any information, particularly from current students, is greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>AU practices heterodox economics. The department is small and has a reputation of being far to the left. I know of many good economics students who have actually been told by professors to transfer. You figure it out.</p>
