Anybody applying to EFL 2020? What are you doing for your personal statement and the other requirements?
I the the biggest requirement is your ability to write a check.
My son applied and got accepted to UC Santa Barbara - which was our first choice. The price of this program is $1800 for one week…
Can anyone comment on how competitive or prestigious is this program…
Could not find anything on the web
Thanks
@“suhel d” I was planning to apply to this program but I was already accepted to two other ones, one being really selective (<30% acceptance rate), so I didn’t. I honestly don’t think it’s too selective, and as a student myself I have no idea exactly what the numbers are, but I remember seeing this diagram that sorts summer programs by selectiveness and EFL is around as selective as ESAP, an engineering summer program at UPenn, which is $7000 for a few weeks I think. Obviously I can’t speak for the accuracy of the source but maybe that gives you a general idea.
Collegeseeker01, when did you apply? I recently applied to UCSB too but haven’t gotten a email yet. I really want to get in.
I applied as well, and got into EFL at UChicago. Not sure if I will be attending yet, but I don’t think the program is all that selective
aksharjinandra when did you apply?
I got accepted to Yale but it got moved due to COVID-19. Now I am trying to change sites
I got accepted to Rice but it also got moved to virtual instruction… trying to change sites as well
