Hello everyone, I'm new here and I have been admitted this year to complete my second bachelor's degree at Columbia (GS). At any rate, I'm unsure about how I want to go about my major or double-major and want to know this forum's opinion on the possibility of majoring in Economics and concentrating on Classics. Would the administration approve of such a thing? I was also thinking of perhaps doing this vice versa: Classics major and an Economics concentration. How about a double-major, allowable?

Of course it is. I'm doing something similar. Applied Physics/Applied Math (haven't decided) and Classical Studies double major. Like you, I might just do a Classical Studies concentration.

Just plan your courses. It is certainly possible.

For AM I need 40 credits. CS is 35 credits. That leaves 50 credits to fulfill the Core. The core can be fulfilled with about 35-40 credits which leaves you more than enough wiggle room.

So, go for it. Heck, we'll probably bump into each other in class.
