Economics major

Hi everyone. I have a couple of questions regarding majoring in economics. I am a recent engineering major, biomedical to be exact. I have become disinterested with engineering, and at this point in my life I would like to jump into economics. I have taken microeconomics which was awhile back, about 3 years ago(I took a break from college for about 2012-2013). So on, I am currently in calculus 3, vectors, sequences, etc, and I would like to know from any economic majors, or anyone with general knowledge, would it be okay to continue with calculus 3? I understand that economics requirements could just be calculus 1 and 2, but I’m already invested with my math class, and I can not make the option to just drop it due to financial aid requirements/eligibility.My last question would be, how are vectors and anything from calculus 3 useful to economics and economic majors? Thanks.
