I had my first ECP hold that I just had lifted.
I look at my ECP and under fall and winter quarter, it says “No credit - Duplicate Adv Placement”
Okay, so I took AP classes in high school and got 4s or higher. I got to UCLA and I am technically under “Undeclared - Physical Science”. I overall want to apply into Communication Studies but I am not completely sure yet.
Because of this, I started taking classes towards it for my pre-req, but these classes I saw could count toward another major like maybe Econ or Psychology. I’m a freshman so when enrolling for my fall quarter classes I did have someone to work with who guided me on what my schedule should be to apply into Communication Studies. This included Psych 10, though I took AP Psych in high school and got a 5. I believed, and continued to believe, this was okay, because my student advisor person never said anything about how it wouldn’t count towards my units at UCLA. Plus, I additionally thought it was okay because not only was it a pre req for CS but also because I knew college courses tend to go over a lot more when they happen at an actual college rather than through an AP course in high school.
Then in winter quarter I took Econ 1, and I did get a 4 for Macro Econ in high school.
Is there any way to make these count for units here at UCLA so that I don’t get another ECP?
