It looks like I'm only going to have 26 units by the end of this quarter and I'm supposed to have 27. The only reason I'm taking 13 units this quarter is because I didn't get into my Chemistry lab... I'd be taking(hopefully) a minimum of 16 units next quarter. So what's going to happen to me? I heard you have to meet with a counselor... Has anyone experienced this before?

You’ll be expelled and never allowed to step foot on campus again. Notice of your expulsion will be distributed across the nation to both colleges and employers, and you will never get into any other college nor get a job.

Well, not quite. But you will have to meet with your counseling unit and show them that you are on pace to graduate in time.

qwesd, it is true that you are required to complete 27 units at the end of Winter qtr. However UCLA won’t check until about 2 weeks into Spring qtr , so you will be fine if you enroll in enough units in Spring to make up for that unit.

^Yup, they check every other quarter so you should be fine if you pass the threshold during spring. If for some reason you don’t, you just have to let a counselor know why and how you’ll make it up. It’s nothing to fret about and they’re just making sure you’re on target unit-wise to graduate.
