Hi, I'm a rising senior, and I really liked yale after doing a campus visit today.
the people seem generously pleasant and willing to help, and I like how the academic competition is healthy (compete with oneself), and how the teachers are open and committed to undergraduate education.

i am very VERY concerned about one thing: my extracurriculars. Throughout the 3 years in high school, i have taken the most demanding course load, and I do have to be honest, I haven't been VERY involved in the school as some of you on collegeconfidential who have done amazing things. I just did what everyone else might have done.
1. all clubs 3 years: math club--VP junior year, debate JV/varsity judge, Spanish club treasurer;
student organization-9th, 10th, and will do 12th)
2. out of school, i was in a church musical ensemble group for 3 years that performs regularly in nursing homes, AND i'll be training as an EMT this summer, so that's prob gonna take a bulk of my time my senior year.

What more can I do with my ECs....isn't is simply too late to change things now? And anyway, I'm balancing EMT and my schedule next year is again a little stressful (AP Chem, BC Calc, AP English Lit, AP Spanish Lang, AP Stats, Honors Orchestra, Peer Leadership, an honors history course since i'm done with APUSH).

will yale view me as an underachiever, and how do I stand in the applicant pool (you can see my Stats profile if you want--it has my standardized test scores). oh and I live in Bethesda, MD
