And why?

East Carolina or West Virginia?

And why?

Is money a factor in your decision? Because if you’re in-state for either of them then one is going to be significantly cheaper.

I don’t know anything about WVU, but I live in NC and ECU has a pretty bad reputation as a party school.

I’m out of state for both. but WVU is like the biggest party school in America lol

There will be partying anywhere you go. It’s up to the student to decide how much or how little to participate. At big state u’s, there will be a wide variety of students with lots of different interests…something for everyone.

klw, consider what your intended major will be. Is one school stronger than the other in that major?

Weather?? ECU is located in a fairly mild coastal climate whereas WVU is in a mountainous setting with lots on cold/snowy weather. Which do you prefer?

What about transportation? Will one location be more convenient than the other when traveling home for breaks?

ive actually seen both campuses. i almost went to wvu but got accepted to my number 1 and went there instead. Both schools have very similar environments. both are in “backwoods” and are not very populated outside the college town.

weather is very different so if you prefer warmer climate ecu may be a better fit than the colder climate in morgantown.

for the most part though the schools are extremely similar. ECU has a very good nursing program. wvu has a good business school and a very good criminal justice program.

if you prefer a more college feel with quads and lots of trees and such, i would recommend ECU. WVU has a more city feel and the campus is very cramped.

you can pm me if you have any questions on both schools
