ED 2 and RD thread

Yes i received it Saturday. Full scholarship.

Nope, I’m expecting to receive it today or tomorrow. That will determine whether I’m able to go or not, since I need almost a full ride, but Smith’s full need for internationals too, so I think it’ll be fine :)

I haven’t received the financial aid package yet due to my forms being received late but I’m hoping for the best!

that’s great. can’t wait to get mine. guess i’ll be staying home tomorrow to wait then. :)

Good luck lilredboxes!! Sending positive energy your way!!

Congratulations, ladies! If you have any questions, I can direct them to a slew of Smith parents who belong to a group on “another social network” and they’ll hop over to this page. ;)

So lilredboxes, did you get accepted this time? I can’t tell from your posts.

Guitar500 and others, I’m crossing my fingers on your FinAid.

This whole application process is really an emotional roller coaster, but one, I hope, from which you all will emerge stronger. Good luck!

Hi CarolynB – yes i did! now it all depends on the financial aid Smith sees me worthy of :stuck_out_tongue: thanks for everything.

alegriadopovo, thank you and likewise! :))

Bah, apparently they received my forms late too -.-
Ah, well, it’ll just be a few more days.

At least I have a “Smith likes me!” sticker XD

Thanks CarolynB! :)

Guitar500, I’m in the same boat as you! And my dad is really digging the “Smith likes me” sticker.

I’m just really excited to see if I get a good package. Smith is my first choice and I am beyond ecstatic. I’ve been looking at my folder every morning just to see if it’s true hahaha and not a dream

Me too! I should glue my letter to the ceiling so I can see it when I wake up XD

Great suggestion hahah!!!

The letter isn’t here yet! I’m so impatient. How did smith send the letters - by regular mail or FedEx (or the like)? Because if they sent it by regular mail it will take about two weeks for it to get to me (me being halfway across the globe) in which case I will know better when to expect it.

Thanks guys :)

Mine came from UPS and I’m international too. You’ll probably get it in a day or two.

Hi guys  I’m an intl student applying RD to Smith, and I’m already a bag of nerves. I get my EDII reply from Vassar tomorrow so asdfghjkl Good Luck to those still waiting and well done everyone who has already been accepted!

good luck mattieR91 =)

@MattieR91, Maybe Vassar didn’t work out, but I wish you the best of luck with Smith  I hope we’ll be classmates next fall!

@lilredboxes: Did you get your letter? If so, was your FA good? I’m freaking out because I don’t have my award yet XD

I got my letter! But aid wasn’t very good :frowning: I’d have to graduate with maybe 150K+worth of loans in my currency (about $50k) AND deplete a huge chunk of my parents’ life savings as well :frowning: But i spoke to the office already and a review is in process now methinks.

I really really hope this works out!

Anyhoo, good luck with your aid award!! Will you only be able to go with full aid or…? If you don’t mind me asking, that is.

That’s too bad :frowning: Good luck with that review, maybe there was a miscalculation somewhere.

Yeah, I need almost a full ride. In the case it’s off by a small amount, I’ll take a summer job (although I doubt I’d earn more than 1k from this) or more loans, but I hope that won’t be necessary.

@Guitar500 - so how did it go?! have you heard back yet? :)

No, I emailed them and they said they sent my award on the 28th, but since it hasn’t arrived, I assume it was through regular mail. And since Mexican post is so reliable, I should be getting it within the next two years or so XD If I don’t get it by the end of next week, I’ll email Smith again.

How about you, how did the review go?
