ED 2 at Vassar or Kenyon?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm pretty confused about where to apply ED 2. I really, really LOVE Vassar. Kenyon is #2. But you see, Kenyon has a far smaller financial aid budget for internationals than does Vassar and therefore Kenyon is reluctant to accept internationals in ED. However, it seems to me, from the experience of my seniors, that applying early to Kenyon gives international students an edge in admissions, even if they are deferred. And as an international student seeking aid, the likelihood of getting deferred is high at Kenyon (but you get in through RD). </p>

<p>Should I just forget all this unsupported reasoning and just apply to Vassar? Vassar is of course more selective but Vassar also has more money available. Feels like things would balance out.</p>

<p>apply to the one you love more, considering that their financial situation would be the same both ways. also, kenyon offers merit scholarship to internationals.</p>

<p>Nah I won’t get merit aid at Kenyon (and certainly there is no incentive to give merit aid to internationals or anyone, in fact, in ED). That’s wayyyyy too competitive.</p>
