<p>Mini is right. For internationals requiring aid, it may come down to looking at the RD pool, assessing how much aid is needed, and then seeing how much is left for internationals. I know that I would not be happy looking at a pool of ten good students and seeing that I have money for two...but sometimes that the way things work. The awful part of an admissions job, imo. Well, that and living out of your car & suitcase for several months a year.</p>

<p>Internationals aren’t affected by aid allocations for US students. Separate pile of cash—i.e. grants.</p>

<p>I sit corrected. A fairer way to do it, too.</p>
