<p>They must have some importance or they wouldn't be required. And if you check on their website you can see how many people are accepted ED out of how many applied, and how many get in overall and such.</p>
<p>Columbia College ED acceptance rate is about 20-30%, Engineering is about 50%.</p>
<p>SAT II scores, I would say are as important as SAT I scores.</p>

<p>I would hope so, I was SEAS ED in '03....they also tend to fill up a large portion of the class through ED so if you are sure you want to go to columbia and if you have stellar numbers you should apply ED.</p>
