There are several threads discussing the possibility of a connection between a letter/phone call from Cornell regarding missing financial aid forms and the possibility that that request is an indication that the person is admitted. Can any of you add to that discussion, either positively or negatively?

I think this question should be directed at ED Deferred/Rejected people.

I was deferred ED and was not contacted prior to the ED decision date regarding missing financial aid forms, and I know that some people were contacted before the ED date and then accepted ED. I received a letter today asking for missing financial aid information. I'm hopeful that this is a good sign! Anyone else?

I was deferred ED. I sent two emails asking about missing tax forms a week prior to the 12/19 and they never responded. It may be a good sign if you were contacted this time, you never know.

I, too, also got this letter today
however, I got a similar letter from Northwestern ED weeks before decision day, but was rejected anyways
so I'm not going to get my hopes up for this one ^^

Who ever got this RD or ED...did you already submit your fafsa and css? what was it specifically asking for?

Mine asked for 2006 tax forms, which I find somewhat odd. Everything else is already accounted for.

Did anyone that did not submit a Fafsa or CSS get one of these letters?

My letter asks for the 2006 tax returns and a Cornell University Freshman Financial Aid Application.

I was accepted ED and was told about a week before decisions that I was missing forms.
