so i postmarked my early decision agreement form on 10/30 but on 11/1 penn sent me a letter saying that they didn't have it. i emailed them back saying that it was in the mail but never received a second email confirming whether they received it or not.

would it be wise to email them once more to check that they did receive my ed agreement or just wait it out (i'm sure they are really busy...)? would they send me another email if if it mysteriously disappeared in the mail or just toss out my app altogether?

oh...and also do they typically download the common app at the same time as the supplement? because my common app shows as "downloaded" but my supplement is still only at "submitted".

thanks!

Jaycee32:

Don't worry. My son submitted his application online on 10/30 and sent out the ED agreement by overnight mail on 10/31. We received delivery confirmation of the ED agreement on 11/1 and the e-mail notice you refer to on 11/3. I checked with Admissions and they say that a global e-mail was erroneously sent reminding all common application users to send in the ED form. If you want specific confirmation of receipt, you can call your Regional Admissions Director. Apparently though, this is a problem for everyone. If you have confirmation that your ED agreement was delivered, I wouldn't worry. If not, and you want to really be sure. check with the regional director.

As to the "downloaded" delay on the supplement, although we submitted both at the same time on 10/30, the main application was downloaded the next day, and the "downloaded" notation did not appear until today for the supplement even though it says "downloaded 11/1". I would check back in a day or so and see if it changes. It might already have.

thanks for the help!

Wait, I never got an ED confirmation mail :(

Who do I e-mail to ask if they got my ED agreement or not?

my email stating that they did not receive my ed form said to direct questions/concerns to records@admissions.upenn.edu

but like involveddad1 said, you could probably contact your regional rep to find out too.

AS we sent the ED agreement by overnight express mail, the confirmation we received concerning the ED agreement was from the USPS, not Penn. So...we knew it was delivered and we know who signed for it. That gave us comfort.

Wow jaycee I was in the exact same situation. I sent mine out 10/30 but it prob did not get postmarked til 11/1 (cuz i put it in the mailbox after pickup) and i got the email early in the day on 11/3. it typically takes 2 days for a normal letter to reach its destination and i figured they would receive later that day on 11/3.

I sent an email to records@admissions.upenn.edu but they haven't replied back. I'm assuming they got it though.
