My ds has applied ED1. Does Brandeis post the decision anywhere or do you have to wait for a letter to come in the mail? Did anyone go through this process last year and is there a chance you will hear earlier? I guess we are all waiting patiently…

My D also applied ED. It doesn't seem like there is a way to find out on their website, like at some other schools. So we, too, are waiting for the letter.

I was reading some other schools ED blog and the school sends out e-mails with acceptances before you get the LETTER in the mail. Any chance that Brandeis does too?

A couple of days ago I suggested to my D that she email the admissions office and ask that very question. I don't think she has sent the email. Guess which one of us is more anxious about this decision? :o

I'm with you, PRJ. Do you know if they should get an acceptance letter, does Brandeis let you know about scholarships at the same time? Only a couple of days to go, this wait is painful...doesn't seem to be effecting my S. What state are you from? We're from Texas.

I assume they let you know about scholarships, but I don't know for sure.

We are in Ohio, where it has been cold and snowy. My D keeps groaning about how much she hates winter, and my response is "so tell me again why you applied ED to Brandeis?" :)

She seems oblivious to the wait. It 's making ME crazy!

My S is oblivious too! It sounds like they should be applying to the same school. My S loves the cold weather which we don't have too much of here. But yesterday we had snowflakes on and off for a few hours. Since it is such a novelty around here, the kids get so excited. I guess if he gets into Brandeis the novelty will wear off quite quickly! If we hear anything from the school, will post it here. Hope you do the same and GOOD LUCK!

I am a freshman at Brandeis this year and no Brandeis does not send reply by email. They send snail mail. They also give students their financial aid including all scholarships they have earned. Good luck with the admissions process.

Thanks for the clarification, browngirl. I checked some Brandeis threads for this time last year and it looks like ED applicants started receiving their snail mail envelopes on Dec 17 or 18. It is going to be a LONG week at our house! Good thing D has finals to distract her ;)

ACCEPTED! We got the letter today. It's a big envelope, blue and white with CONGRATULATIONS at the bottom. It was mailed on Friday. Good luck to everyone. PRJ, hope your d got in!

D accepted!

We're doing the happy dance here in Ohio! Well, I'm dancing...she's napping ;) I think the anticipation and excitement, coupled with a presentation and paper due today, wore her out.

So glad your S was accepted, upthecreek!

Yeah! Congrats. Now to figure out dorm requests, etc. Stay in touch!
