I don’t think the amount of activity on an online forum is an accurate indicator of an applicant’s enthusiasm for Brown…
I had two monster tests this week.
My interview is in ~9 hours. I should sleep, but I’m reading on topics in my major, hoping not to be caught off guard if my interviewer is familiar with my field or if she asks hard questions.

@potterpie: That’s probably a good idea, just because I did the same thing before my interviewer and it did help! I was worried that I would blank out, so I just reread all the info that partly made me fall in love with the school. The intangibles, well, those are harder to research on the web hahaa.

Around 18 more days until decisions are unveiled. For those of you who have final exams during that week, are you going to look anyways or wait until it is over?

oh no… my application status check page hasn’t changed either… I really hope that it is not a bad sign… anyone applied to PLME this year?? I did, but I’m wondering if there is anyone else who has applied… I can’t wait to find out if I got in or not… hopefully I did…

@paulwag: I applied to PLME as well. But I highly doubt I get in. Sigh. Best of luck to you though! : )

My last exam is on the 15th, so the admissions decision will be on my mind that entire time rofl.

Wow, I wish I could be done on the 15th. ;| It would definitely be on my mind the night before of the exam.

I do not know whether or not to be skeptical over the changing of applicant summary pages but either way, it is all out of our hands. The best thing we can do is to relax and wait for decisions. ;)

Haha yeah we have 5 exams over 3 days. I’m taking 5 APs this year, and any more classes would be absolute murder at my school haha. The night of December 14th, my exam during Dec 15th, and the subsequent school dance will take a backseat to my checking email and application status lol.

So true! We can’t do anything to change it, but whenever I log onto the site, I hope to see a change, and nothing shows up. I wonder since I didn’t apply for FA if that has to do with it. Something to think about, idk. Lol I had a dream about getting accepted last night, and the feeling was the sweetest euphoria. IF only that would be a reality… :D

Did you guys apply for FA (whose pages haven’t changed)? Obvs you guys wouldn’t need a Financial Aid tab if you didn’t apply. That was a hunch I had before and I see that big dreamer didn’t apply for it.

@rainbowrose: Did you apply for FA? If you did, I think our little theory could be an explanation.

I did apply :P

That makes sense… There was no change on my application status page but I didn’t apply for financial aid… That gives me a little bit of relief I was freaking out about it earlier, thinking that it is a bad sign.

-sigh-

WOW that’s a relief if that’s why our page didn’t change! That does make sense, lol I was thinking that I had already gotten weeded out. Good luck everybody! We’re almost in December!!!

I don’t think Brown would be dumb enough to leak decisions like that!

@rainbowrose: haha you never know! plus, i’m semi-obsessed with getting in-all rational thought is out the window now ;)

@ 3lite: Luckily my last exam is that day so I don’t have to worry about it interfering. I do have an international flight the next day though…so I’ll either be ecstatic and bouncing off the walls for 9 hours or depressed and wallowing in self pity haha

@big dreamer, does your page have a “personal information” tab?

Can I just point out that the Stanford REA thread has over 100 pages? lol
I’m sure they have a lot more people too though :P

So what’s up guys? Honestly, just having other people who applied to Brown ED to talk to is pretty comforting.

I want to finish this first semester. Like now. Lol school is getting pretty exhausting. And yeah the Stanford thread is a long chill convo haha

yaybrown.com is pretty funny, for all those who haven’t stumbled upon it yet. But I guess at this point we’re all just desperately F5ing (at least I am).
