ED at Penn

Hi everyone,

I applied ED to the University of Pennsylvania. I submitted my CSS a couple days before the deadline but I didn't know that Penn has their own Financial Aid Supplement (PFAS) that also needs to be submitted by a November 15th deadline. Although I did apply early, I doubt I will receive sufficient financial aid (family income is quite high, but a lot of it is spent on family in India). If I don't get enough aid, I planned on declining the ED acceptance. However, if I submit my PFAS a couple days late, will I still be allowed to decline an ED acceptance? Will I have received a financial aid package in time? Or would I be better off withdrawing my ED application? (I'd rather not, I love Penn and I just had my interview this morning. It really is my number 1 school, it's the finances that might prevent me from going :/)

Thanks everybody!

Then why didn’t you get your PFAS done in time? Call the school and see if they will still accept it. Some schools might not consider it since it didn’t get submitted by the deadline.

Submit it now if you haven’t, the school should be able to finish your financial package in time if not delayed by a few days. Don’t withdraw your application yet, you can do that once you’ve received your financial package information.
