Is the thankyou message the email they sent you? Or is it inside the portal itself when you open it?
Inside the portal. Open portal. Then click Admissions button on right side, then admissions status.

But are you RD @flooffloof001 ? Someone said on one of the threads that RD applicants get accepted with either Our Records or Thank you messages. It’s just the ED kids who say that Thank you is the one to want. Are you ED II or RD? Fingers crossed.
And, the Our Records does change to Thank you at varying times during the consideration process. Some have it change to Thank you quickly, while others have it change way later in the process.
After reading all the posts and having my message changed, there seems to be a bit of confusion. There are three different messages that the applicant link will show
“Our records indicate you have applied to [insert college here] as an Early Decision candidate”
This is the basic message. You get this message no matter what initially
The next two messages are what your message could later change to:
“Thank you for applying to [insert college here] as an Early Decision candidate”
This message includes Early Decision and in the past it has correlated with acceptance.
This next message is entirely different than the first:
“Our records indicate you have applied to [insert college here] for the [upcoming school year]”
This message does not include Early Decision in the message, unlike the one you get when you make the applicant account. In the past it has been correlated with referral or denial

Do ED/ED2 applicants need to send mid year grades, or just first quarter grades?
I applied ED || and my message still says “Our records indicate” but it also says they have not received my senior grades. Is it possible that they haven’t reviewed my application, or is that wishful thinking?
@plantlover101 there is a very good chance they haven’t reviewed your application yet!! i would check a week before decisions are supposed to come out, at that point your admissions decision (and thus message) should be finalized
@plantlover101 I also applied ED2 and was missing an item. Until they cleared that item I had the “Our records indicate…” message and it listed the missing item. Once they cleared that item it switched to a different “Our records indicate…” message that indicated my application was complete. Late last week it again switched and now I have the “Thank you…” message. How long ago did you send the missing items? It was about two weeks until my item cleared in the portal.
Hi guys!! I applied RD in November and then changed my application to ED2 in December, and right now I have the “Thank you” message. Really hoping I get in, good luck to everyone else who applied ED2! Anyone have any idea when decisions might be??
I asked my school if they were sure they sent my first quarter grades, because first semester grades aren’t available yet, and she said she sent them January 8th but on my Applicant Link it still says it’s missing. Is it possible they haven’t reviewed my application?
@plantlover101 I would call the admissions office to verify they have it.
are people actually sure about this whole “thank you” vs “our records indicate…” thing?
also, I have heard that the news will come out the monday before the 15th at 2:00pm. So that would be Monday, the 12th
@flooffloof001 dont worry too much about scores. I was accepted with a 1250 sat score but I had a 4.2 gpa so it kinda balanced out.
If you were deferred when you applied ed and haven’t sent in mid year grades it can be assumed that the our records doesn’t mean anything right??
