ED Chance as a student from Tokyo?

I just finished my junior year at an international school in Tokyo and NYU is my first choice. I want an honest opinion from you guys about my shot at ED for college of A&S.

GPA: 3.48 (weighted) 3.43 (unweighted)
(I know this is really low, but my grades have been improving in an upward trend. freshman: 3.27, sophomore: 3.5, junior: 3.73. I had a really rough Freshman year)

AP Classes can only be taken starting junior year at my school so I took US History, English Language and Composition, and Macroeconomics. I also self-studied for Microecnomics and Japanese.
Senior year I'll be taking: Environmental Science, Statistics, and French.

ACT Composite Score: 34
(English: 32, Math: 34, Reading: 33, Science: 35, Combined English/Writing: 29)

Extracurriculars:
-varsity swim team all 3 years so far and captain this year
-club called abot kamay all 3 years where i went to Thailand for a community service trip to build canteens.
-community service with an organization called Hands on Tokyo
-worked for the past 2 summers as a camp counselor at a summer camp hosted by my school
-actively participated in various Earthquake relief events.

Also (I'm not sure if this really helps) but money isn't an issue for my family so I'd be paying full tuition.

So lay it on me guys, do I have a shot?

Your gpa is kinda low, but I would say a low match

I wouldn’t say a low match. I would say you have a strong chance.

While most people in CAS do come in with a stronger GPA, they definitely do not have a 34 on the ACT. How did you score on your APs? Make sure that your first semester of senior year is solid. Also consider applying RD to be able to submit a strong first semester. :)

i know my gpa’s really low, but i was hoping that the upward trend in my grades would show that i’m capable of being somewhat academically decent.

also, wouldn’t RD be even more competitive? i know a lot of people at my school who have much higher numbers than me who consider NYU their safety and are going to apply. i feel like that will REALLY hurt my chances.

lol you’ll get in, don’t sweat it. i had a 3.4UW, 2210 and got into Stern RD. I had the same trend as you, except freshman year i had under a 3.1
