I just applied Early Decision to Wake Forest. I absolutely love the school and the campus. It is the perfect school for me. I am wondering what you think my chances are of getting in. Any feedback helps!

Volunteer experience:
In 10th grade I had a book drive and donated over 1,700 books to a non-profit who gives books to children who cannot afford them. I also volunteered sorting books there. (35 hours)

I volunteer at a food pantry named Catholic Parish Outreach. (50 hours).

I volunteer at my swim team meets timing and bringing food to other volunteers (36 hours).

I volunteer with a YMCA program called Swim For Life. The goal of this program is to prevent accidental drowning of low income kids. I have been a swim instructor for three one-week sessions. (25 hours).

I have a total of 200 volunteer hours across these and other organizations.

Yes, I had an interview. I think it went well. I think my short answers were very strong and showed what I am passionate about. For example, in my top ten list I put my favorite commercials because I am interested in marketing and advertising. My teacher recommendation is strong. The teacher that I had taught me for 10th and 11th grade English, as well as being my Extended Essay advisor. As for my counselor recommendation, I do not know what it will be like. I do not know my counselor very well because I go to a large school where many students are assigned the same counselor. In the past few months, I have met with her three or four times. I gave her my resume and some examples of things that Wake Forest is looking for on the recommendation sheet. She actually has not turned in the recommendation yet and that’s the only part of my application that is incomplete. Thanks!
