idk…im so crazy…I think if it does come out I’m going to open it in my school’s chapel… ^:)^
i feel like it would be the 9th or 10th based on previous years, but thats definitely a possibility!
I am so scared. I want to go but if they defer me, I have no chance against reg pool.
i think the highest likelihood i have is being deferred lol and thats basically a rejection cause my stats arent good enough to be accepted but i feel like maybe they could take a chance on me if they have space
Ya. I have everything except not having taken enough honors courses during fresh and soph years. But now I am in 7 and have all As. So, idk. Lol :((
does anyone know how much first quarter grades matter for washU? I didn’t have good grades junior year but I had straight a’s first quarter
Ya, same question here. I think they want to see you do well but for me, it is probably a deciding factor.
@Hopeful2020 It was 42% last year, but the years before that, it was in the 30s range. Idk why they decided to jump all of a sudden.
I know that I read that they’re trying to be better with accepting more students that need financial aid than they have previously
how does it affect you if you didn’t apply for financial aid? im only doing merit scholarships.
That’s even better. They love rich kids
my sat is not so great, but I am still hoping for acceptance… i got 630/770/770… I think my math and writing part are good, but my critical reading part is way below the average… but I got two great subject test scores, and my grades are pretty good except the first quarter of my senior year…(I have C on calc…) Wish you all the best!
dis hype is 2 real.
@anxiousgirl24 I got a 32 on my ACT, but that’s like the 25th percentile. Doesn’t comfort me much reading the results posts from previous ED years and seeing that many of the people who got accepted had ACTs ranging from 33+. Also I think financial aid does play a role in their decision. Wash U isn’t need blind so costs are definitely a factor.
@studentsurvivor can you link me to the ED thread from last year?
WashU college Gods answer my prayers!!!..lol…yeah I’m a little to hyped/nervous/overall crazy…
32 is definitely not in the top portion of their accept ants, however there are still going to be a significant portion of people accepted there and below. I personally know many people applying to wash u ED with 32/33 ACT scores. Don’t think that single point is what holds you back, you can make up for it in a million ways, you may have some outside work experience or EC that a 34 act applicant doesn’t (just examples, don’t sell yourself short).
Guys I just want to say you all seem super smart and wonderful and I wish you all the best (even if the odds aren’t in my favor for joining you at washu next year :p)
Try to distract yourself before its released, it helps get rid of the stress, and if unfortunate news comes your way, you might find it easier to cope with for the short term if you haven’t been pondering your future for the next 4 years for like an hour before the decision. You can’t simply expect to get into one of the most competitive schools in the country, its a privilege and should be treated like such. If you get in, go nuts, if you don’t, recognize that there is nothing wrong with you and that the standards for Wash U were just a little too high and that you may have just gotten unlucky. If you’re applying to Wash U realistically you will definitely get into some very distinguished colleges. Also, don’t forget that you have peers going through the same situation. Put yourself in their shoes before you talk to them about it, what would/ wouldn’t you want to hear if you were them.
@jbria22 Thanks. You’re right. Wash U does have a holistic approach to reviewing our applications. Still nervous though! :-S
and @kobe24mamba I’ve read over some of the results thread from:

BUT don’t drown in all of these threads. Comparing yourself to others won’t change anything and it’ll only make you feel self-conscious.
