I've decided to apply ED to Dartmouth. I read the following on their website:

"It is a violation of the plan for you to be an Early Decision candidate at two institutions at the same time."

I clearly understand that I cannot apply ED to another school; however, could someone clarify if I can apply EA to another school while simultaneously applying ED to Dartmouth? I'm just beginning to start the whole process, and your help would be greatly appreciated!

you have to be careful as each school is different. you cannot apply early action to yale at the same time you apply ed to dartmouth. read the admission deptails carefully at each college you apply to. you will find your answers.

I applied to several schools EA. They stipulated that you COULD apply EA to other schools (if it didn't violate their policies), but you couldn't apply ED anywhere.

And then there's yale, I believe they're SCEA- you don't have to go if you are accepted, but you cannot apply EA or ED anywhere else.

A few schools may allow you to apply ED while applying EA, but you should read into it carefully.
