ED financial aid

I already asked about getting into GWU early decision, which I think I could. The problem I have is with financial aid. Though I haven't figured out my EFC, I predict it to be pretty low. Does anyone have any info on financial aid for ED applicants?

You could very well get landed with a package that is going to cost you thousands of dollars per year over what you can afford. If financial aid is a question, don’t apply ED. I’m in the same situation, except that I know for a fact my EFC is 0.

If GW is your first choice, you should definitely apply ED. I’m almost positive that in my information session the admissions counselor said that GW will release you from your ED admission if the financial aid package is not substantial enough.

Yes, but that can cause problems with applying. You may not have time to get an application in anywhere else. Some schools may not allow you to apply. There can be problems with getting released from the contract - it’s only if you really, really can’t pay. If they offer you loans, your need is met and the contract is still binding.
