<p>a bouncing happy S came in a 5 minutes ago to announce "I'm IN!"</p>

<p>Congratulations!!!!</p>

<p>I'm In!!!!!!!!!!</p>

<p>hey doc.
congrats.
you've been one of the more energetic posters.
where are you from?</p>

<p>congrats guys. Sadly I won't be joining you next year. Good luck at Emory!</p>

<p>jmizz, </p>

<p>sorry to hear you won't be joining.
you have some impressive creds.
what is your plan now?</p>

<p>waitlisted =/</p>

<p>this is quite a weird feeling.</p>

<p>where is it?? it isn't under admissions on my opus account?!</p>

<p>OMG!
u must be freakin out.
you go to admissions, and then it SHOULD say view your decision.
good luck and let us know</p>

<p>it doesn't say!! is there a link you click on or anything?</p>

<p>yes..i am so happy</p>

<p>will someone please help me? now i'm worried that there was a misunderstanding and emory thinks that i applied RD...why is everyone else's admission decision up and not mine? i'm looking on opus...is that where it's posted?</p>

<p>i took a pic of the screen and i'm trying to insert it into this message,
errrr
after you clic into Admissions, yo should see "Next Steps"
under that it says
view your decision letter
pay our admission deposit
campus event registration
view enrolled events</p>

<p>mine only says:</p>

<p>campus event registration
view enrolled events</p>

<p>jillk
sorry to hear that your decision is not available.
on the positive, it could mean they debated over your app . . . .</p>

<p>I read the Q&A that they provided, but I'm still not 100% sure how being waitlisted is different from being differed (aside from the random notification). can anyone offer a definition, in simple terms?</p>

<p>I got in! i CANT BELIEVE THIS, im so happy! </p>

<p>good luck to everyone who got wait-listed and who applied RD!</p>

<p>if they defery u from ed, then they defer their decision until they access your application with the rd apps.
waitlisted is different.
they will not reassess your file with rd apps.
instead, once they get feedback from the students they've accepted, they will see how much room they have left.
if they have 5 places to fill, then they will go to the waitlist and pull them from there.
if someone is deferred, then when regular decisions are announced, that person will learn his or her status: accepted or denied. i don't believe that one will go from being deferred to being waitlisted.
so basically, when waitlisted, you let the school know if you are willing to accept a place on its waitlist.
then i think they will let you know where you are on their list as the process moves forward.
hope this helps.</p>

<p>thank you, sherbear. I get it better now.</p>

<p>this really is not fun:(</p>

<p>SJESSANI!!
Congratz.
what a cool feeling, eh?</p>
