2ndly, a lot of great schools have been experiencing phenomena like what ridonkulous (that’s my friend’s fav. word, btw) described - a lot of really qualified kids are getting rejected from what SEEMS should be a match school. we also saw this in scholars, where similarly stated people were rejected for no real distinct reason that stats could show.

i’m going to blame it on the baby boomer generation…it’s resulted in a population increase so that now all the kids are going to college and there’s not enough room! or…I’m probably wrong ^.^

Aznnin: that’s why everyone’s “matches” should now be considered “reaches”…There is no such thing as a match when admission rates are in the 20% range…even if stats are at or above 75%

purty much! haha my overachieving friends and I have been searching fruitlessly for some small possibly reason for being deferred or rejected or whatever…and usually…there isn’t a “good” one. SO…yeah.

when life throws you lemons, make lemonade =)
