ED II vs. RD chances?

So I'm 95% sure I'm going to go for ED II, though there's a tiny chance I'll actually only apply Regular. Anyways, could anyone guess at my chances in each round? How much is EDII going to help?

Thanks so much for any help!

Assuming you’ve taken rigorous courses your entire HS career and you don’t botch the essay beyond repair, I’d say that there is no reason (that I can see) for why you’d be rejected in either round. You have good grades (although your weighted GPA is a little low), test scores, and varied ECs. I got in ED I with a much lower SAT score but probably a higher weighted GPA. Top 10% helps a lot though.

thanks so much for your response!

my essay was on an influential animal in my life-- i think it is sufficient in describing my values and is written adequately, at least.

i’m not too worried about the weighted gpa… although theoretically the top is 5, no one in any class has above a 4.8

You’re probably in, but applying ED always helps.
