How much better of a chance do I have to ED in Harvey Mudd?

If you really want to maximize your chance of getting in, applying ED should increase it slightly. It’s a plus from the perspective of admissions, since (a) the commitment suggests that you’ll have a good experience here and (b) they can count on you coming, which reduces the uncertainty that they have to deal with. I think there are some other very tiny advantages as well (might get considered twice, might avoid unexpectedly strong RD competition, etc.), but none of them are very compelling.

If you think you might want to come here but have doubts, I wouldn’t apply ED just for the slight edge in admissions. There’s a high burnout rate in part because a lot of prospective students make the decision too hastily.
