ED....interview?

How can i request an interview for Early Decision?
Do i call once i send in my application before Oct. 20 or does Duke chooses who gets an interview after applications are submitted??

I can't speak for Duke ED but most colleges will set up interviews after you apply with local Alums if you are not going to the school itself. The Alum interview is not the end all and from what I have seen a good interview won't in and of itself get you in but a bad interview could be a factor keeping you out. I honestly don't recall my child interviewing for Duke and he applied RD and is attending. I don't think schools place as much importance on th einterview as applicants think. A Yale interviewer told my child that he had a falling out with the school because he recommended many excellent students and in almost all the cases the school disregarded his comments and accepted other kids and turned down the ones he found perfect for the school. This was no an academic issue as the kids he saw were all top of their class with great grades and scores so that academics were not an issue. Go figure. THe interviwer just called to tell us he was no longer going to do it for Yale. I am sure that most top schools look more to what they see in their admisions meetings and essays than the interview.

Just send in the Duke supplement before whatever due date it is this year for an interview (If you say it's October 20th this year, then it's October 20th). You don't need to call anyone; they'll call you.
