ED Jerome Fisher Program 2017

who else is applying?

My S applied ED to M&T, with his ED single choice option for Seas. You?

I applied ED to M&T, with Wharton as my second choice.

doesn’t seem like too many applied ED to Jerome Fisher. I wonder how many spots they fill in the early period.

^ Dual degrees fill out roughly half the class ED. Also, this year is another record breaker in terms of ED apps, so I’m pretty sure a ton of people applied to M&T…they just don’t go on CC.

^Where are you getting that info? 50% of the class of ED for dual-degree programs sounds too high.

I talked to an admissions rep and, to paraphrase, he said that the dual-degrees tend to fill out roughly 50% of their class ED (mirroring Penn at large).

^Mirroring Penn at large? Are you saying that roughly half of Penn students are dual-degree students? If so, I highly doubt that. Penn has about 2,500 students admitted each year, and way less than half are dual-degree. Perhaps you were misinformed, or maybe I’m wrong. Who knows.

I meant “mirroring Penn at large” in the sense that, just as the school as a whole tries to fill 1/2 of it’s spots ED, so too do the dual-degree programs. Well, I’m pretty sure I’m right, but you’re free to believe what you want.

^Sorry, I don’t mean to insinuate that you’re wrong, I was just confused with what you meant. I thought that you meant that dual-degree students make up 50% of the entire Penn ED class, instead of 50% of the dual-degree class. Sorry bout that!

Nah, it’s cool. I’m sure we’re all under a lot of stress right now. Good luck on the 12th.

Best of luck to everyone from a current M&T sophomore. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have.
