My best friend and I called this morning and the admissions woman said they were mailed this morning!! Good luck Halima, JayVee's daughter, and everyone else!

Weird, they told me they were still "in committee"? YAY. Goodluck all. Shall we say we post results at the end of the week (if ppl want to)?

When did they tell you that, Froggie? Because today we were informed that they weren't....

Haverford College News

I know, it's weird. I called later and was informed that all they could say was that mail would be received by the 15th which is also strange because of what I posted above. Admissions offices are enigmatic places. Good luck!

In 2005, people started getting letters (or at least posting their results on CC) on the 12th. In 2006, it was the 13th. They probably sent out the letters this AM or will send them out tomorrow. buena suerte!

:) thanks. I just want to be done...aaah! What year are you, HC?

Thanks Nina and Halima for the advice and info. I can't believe how hard it is to wait. I can't believe I could even get it tomorrow. I made my mom swear that she won't even touch the mailbox or what's in it all this week.

Good luck to you all too.

Hehe, I made my parents swear to the same. Good luck, goal_troll. Cool moniker!

ACK! No letter today. We live close by and it should have come if it was mailed yesterday. Here's hoping for tomorrow!

I am too, JayVee. I am from MA, but if they really did mail out the letters yesterday, maybe they held the PA ones for a day, just to stagger the process so people would get results at approximately the same time? Just a thought... I was hoping for it today, but was hardly surprised not to have anything. It all boils down to hours now...even if we all have to wait until Saturday!

I doubt they held them, but I think (even tho I am actually one post office away from Hav) give local mail at least two days.
Also there's the ambiguity of the actual send-out day.
The receptionist said that I should expect it today or tomorrow.
Then I called again (3 times....) and got varying answers.
Maybe my constant calls have made them angry, and they are therefore holding up the mail...sorry guys!

HAHA. I called 2x yesterday and got differing answers and varying degrees of politesse.

Oh by the way, speaking of overwhelmed, I thought I might mention College Confidential's server, which was so overloaded I couldn't log on for 15 minutes!

you must have died. Poor you!

Haha, seriously. Bryn Mawr has begun CALLING people. Argh. All I can do is sit here neurotically, and listen to the soundtrack of 'Hairspray'. New addiction.

About it being clogged, I think it was Columbia's kids, who found out last night. One of my classmates got in there..yay for her! Anyway, ya'll should have just applied to Bryn Mawr. It's practically the same thing, first of all, and second of all, you'd know by now. How nice would that be? COUGHGHGHGH

No letter today.

No letter here either.

Argh. This is very difficult. I don't think they sent them Monday; how could a person right outside of Haverford not have received the letter if they had? I'm hoping for tomorrow; this morning before I left for the State House, I called the post office and asked to speak to my mailman. He looked for me and told me it wasn't there. I plan on doing the same tomorrow. If you call around 8am, you might be able to do the same, and if it's there, get it before your daughter goes to school. Good luck!

No letter.
So here's what happened (college counselor told me), although the receptionist told you and me that Monday there would be sent, there were complications (whatever that means). They said they were "aiming for Tuesday" on Monday afternoon, and said that they were "on their way" when I called today. Meaning either today or yesterday they were sent.
AH.
