ED letters?

Was your acceptance letter in a big envelope? I want to know what to look for...

Congrats to your son! Can you give us a description of the envelope and its contents, please? Thanks and congrats I am sure you are proud.

The envelope is large and white (about 9 by 12) with a big "Welcome" in black letters on red on the front. Everything is in a pretty red folder--on the inside left is a letter from Dean Broaddus and on the right the ED response card, financial aid info and info about notebook computers.

Good luck to everyone!

I live in NoVA and didn't get the letter today. Oh well, I guess that means I got deferred or rejected.

Thanks AlexVaMom... now I know what to look for.

Just for comparison' sake, can you guys that get your letters put up your stats on this page so that future applicants(Like me) can know how competitive the applicant pool is? I know that ED is different than RD, but I think it would serve everybody well as a general guide to applying. Also, make sure to put up whether you were accepted or not.

Thanks

Graj judging from your credentials I am sure you have a VERY good shot at getting in. I know I applied ED with fewer credentials than you... I will post my stats once I find out my decision.

just think...somewhere in the US mail system is a large or small (hopefully large) envelope with your name on it from W&M. Its weird to think that the decision has already been made.

monday is going to be a rough day in school...im not going to be able to concentrate at all when i know my decision will be arriving.

Yeah me too hopeful. I would like to get in, but it isn't the end of the world for me if I don't (already got into Michigan- one of my top choices). It is just I am anxious to find out already! Monday will drag on!!

how long does it usually take from the time you send in your ED app untill you find out....my school (hopefully) says I'll know by the end of december...i just sent everything out a few days ago and am extremely anxious.

if you're in NOVA and didn't get a letter today it doesn't have anything to do with whether you were accepted, rejected, or deferred. my friend in NOVA got deferred and still received her letter today while two of my other friends have yet to receive their letters.

Hey ABR18Charmer, good to see OP and EA represent!

I'm Innn!!!

congrats prep

Congrats prep!

congrats...

I'm surprised they included information about the computers... my friends were just talking yesterday about how they changed back to officially recommending a Dell, and hadn't chosen a computer yet for the fall. They were skeptical b/c the 4 of them came in with a Dell and none of theirs lasted the 4 years.

The post card regarding the computer suggests holding off on buying anything new until there is more info on next year's notebook program--no more details than that...

P.S. Prepschoolgrl--I'm so glad you are in. I could tell from your posts that you 've really wanted this for a long time. What a relief, huh?

I was planning on getting an Apple... I really hate Windows Vista, it is horrible. The Apple OS is so seamless.

alexvamom what kind of stats did your son have? just curious and trying to alleviate my nerves on the what looks like the eve of the decision day...

I'm nervous too hopeful... especially since I am out of state.
