hopeful- I got in with a 3.5610 Weighted (nova weighting) (from tjhsst) 2240 on the SAT(800 writing, 780 math, 660 verbal) and a 790 on the SAT2 Math (only one I took). Relatively hard senior courseload i think:
AP Macroeconomics
AP Lang
AP Government
Geosystems Honors
Prototyping Research and Developement
AP Literature
AP Statistics

pulled off a 4.0 weighted junior year, so upward trend? (i had poor grades freshmen and sophomore years) main EC's were lacrosse team varsity probably captain, and 8 years of pretty intense violin + 2 of just recreational playing, All-State Selection honors sophomore year, also SGA community coordinator. few small EC's like relay for life and tennis. teacher reqs were okay i think and essays were okay.

Hopeful--promised kid I wouldn't post his stats but generally: grades are much higher than dram183, test scores a little lower, full IB candidate and some quirky EC's. One thing I learned reading the old W&M threads, they seem to like "interesting" applicants. Hard to know by reading stats alone why one kid gets in and another doesn't. Good luck, I know the waiting is miserable!!!

seruoiwyeuifjk@!! I live in kentucky...do you think they'll get here today?
I'm not expecting to get in, probably deferred, but I cant help it: I'm freaking out. Just so you know my stats:

I have a 3.83 weighted GPA (on a 4 point scale) and a 96.5% overall weighted average. However, I go to a competitive school and my class rank is only 39/218. (my school was just awarded blue-ribbon status by the department of education) I have a 31 ACT and a 1400 SAT. Awards/Extracirriculars snclude: All State Choir (a received a perfect score, and the highest score in my district), A-capella group (section leader), Show Choir, Music Ministry, Distinguished Solo Award, Presidential Leadership Seminar, Herald Leader (local newspaper) teen board, National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Environmental Club, Y Club, Mock government delegate, National Merit Commended Scholar.
AP tests: 5 on Music Theory and 4 in U.S. History.

I realize its a longshot, but my essay is really good (at least in my opinion). It's about how i am a compulsive reader...sounds weird but i like it. Anyway...another thing i figure might help it the fact that i'm from kentucky, and they don't get many applicants from there. I also visited this fall and stayed overnight with a choir member.

OMG....I;m so nervous I live in NC, and haven;t received the letter yet...
can anyone be more nervous thatn I;m??? I have psychology test next period, and can;t focus right now....!!!!!!
