ED Notification

I applied ED1 to Pomona and can't seem to find information about notification. I have two questions: when do they notify (all I can find is mid-December) and will it be via email or snail mail?

Thanks, appreciate info from current or former applicants and parents.

In 2011 the letters were postmarked 12/12, in 2010 it was 12/10, and the couple of years before that, people reported that they were postmarked 12/12. Acceptance packages are sent in large Priority Mail envelopes. The other kind are sent in normal size envelopes. Hope you get the big one!

And yes, notifications are sent by snail mail. International applicants will get an e-mail notification, followed by the paper one.

Good luck!

yes to the above. though last year i’m pretty sure Pomona sent an e-mail to accepted students correcting an error in the admissions letter before anyone got the package, so people found out they got in before getting the snail mail…

Do they defer or just reject?

Letters were mailed today people!!! Just a friendly PSA

They accept, defer, and deny people - it’s not just a yes/no decision. Good luck!

Its confirmed, acceptance letters are in the mail…

This is literally all I care about in my life right now. All consuming.

I wish I lived closer so it could get here faster! I probably won’t know until Friday…

Nothing yet, and I live in southern california! I just want it to come already…

How do you know they were sent out? Pomona did not notify my school that they have been sent

On the Pomona Admissions office facebook page they had posted that letters have been sent. Good luck everyone! Big envelopes = good.

Yes good luck to everyone!!
