Oh, okay. I’ll probably check on the 15th and ask if my OPUS still doesn’t say anything. Thanks!

No problem!

I guess I’ll just call the financial aid office tomorrow and try to figure out where I need to go from here…

you guys all look like you applied to Oxford campus…
anyone applied for Emory College?
And, yes I am super nervous like all of you

@ckmatilda, I did!

I applied for both, but won’t get into main campus (Emory College).

I’m not that confident though :/

I was feeling okay, but then I heard that Emory’s ED apps went up 10% and Oxford’s 67%.

Yikes. I’m just too nervous about this whole college stuff… And plus the fact that I don’t have super amazing test scores and gpa. It was just my little hope that made me apply early

Hmm, so what’re your scores and GPA like? Any redeeming qualities or hooks?

I took ACT and got 30, my unweighted gpa is about 3.8, but weighted is 3,886 with 4 being the highest in the school. My school doesn’t give grade boost higher than 4.0 so most student’s uw and weighted gpa is not a great difference. So my GPA and test score are all near bottom 25% for Emory College
I’m not sure about qualities but I did volunteered at University of Michigan Hospital for more than 400 hours and worked at their Cancer Center as research assistant. And later I went bunch of professional conferences like AACR orAAPS and had poster presentation about my recent research and was coauthor of one of the journal that was published.
I have other honors like National Latin Exam and some music related stuff.
So basically only thing I’m really confident is my teachers’ recommendation letters and some extracurricular stuff I did.

I didn’t take actual SAT but I did take SAT subject tests.
Got 800 on math 2c and 760 on chem. but not sure how much this is gonna help.

You have a pretty good chance, I’d say… I mean, being a research assistant and coauthoring a journal is pretty impressive!

Your GPA’s fine, and top schools DO sometimes forgive low test scores… As I stated earlier in this thread (and in more detail) I had a friend get into Dartmouth with a 27 ACT, and another get into Emory with a 30 ACT. It’s also worth noting that the one who got into Dartmouth had very similar ECs to yours, and the one who got into Emory also had a passion for the medical/nursing field, too… So who knows, maybe you’ll find yourself at Emory next year(=

Thank you.
Oh wow that’s impressive!
I just really want to know the decision but at the same time kind of scared…

To be honest, I have no clue where to apply for regular… because schools higher in ranking than Emory seems like too reach for me but then, I don’t want to apply anywhere lower than UMich…

So where’s everyone from? I’m from Ohio

Michigan! pretty obvious from previous posts.

Georgia here. Rural Georgia, though I’m in Atlanta about once a month.

New Jersey here haha

I’m from Georgia, in a suburban town near Atlanta. Emory is actually only 25 minutes away from my house… :)

Yea I’m from suburban Georgia with Emory being about 40 minutes from my house haha hhhh ONLY 5 DAYS I AM SO ANXIOUS!!
