Hi, ED1 applicants, Can you see the status from OPUS now?
Hey Emory ED1 applicants! I am a member of Emory Class of 2020. I was accepted last December through ED1. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. I am more than happy to help! Best of luck to all of you.
Do you recommend sending senior 1st quarter grades?
Do any of the ED1 decisions come out before December 15?
@JaguarsFan98 I would recommend sending your first quarter grades i they are good and can help with your application
@colga09 I do not know when they are releasing decisions this year. I know that they released the decisions for my year on December 15th
Hi!I applied Emory through ED1 and I just got my newest 33 ACT score. The score will probably arrive at the admission office in 24-25 Novemeber. Will they still view it?Is this too late?I saw on the 2020er‘s forum that one person says they accpet score before 30 Novemeber.
Emory’s website says notification for ED1 is BY December 15, does this mean they will start releasing some beforehand? I know some schools do this for ED but I remember last year it was all out at the same time.
@skiingaddict99 Last year all the notifications were released on Dec 15th 6pm
Counting down the days until we all hear!
@laur2323 Only 11 days left !
@YXZ9978 I know! Are we sure about December 15th being the release day? I know the past few years have been the 15th with an exception of one year. I don’t know, I am kind of hoping we find out on the 13th!
Hopefully they will announce the notification date and time this week on their undergraduate admissions blog. That’s what they did last year.
Hi everyone!!! I am an applicant from the Boston area and applied to Emory ED1. I’m so so nervous to hear back!!!
Anyone else having trouble getting other stuff done? I keep trying to do my homework and then I’m like damn Emory!
@Foureyes66 Haha!Me too!Can even prepare for my tests!
@laur2323 I guess the admission blog will post the official release time this week.
Hello! I know this is the ED thread but I applied RD and just got an email from “the Emory University Office of Undergraduate Admission and the Department of Theater Studies”. I was wondering if anyone got a similar email and what they did about it. Not gonna include all of it but it says “From the preliminary review of your application, your background and interest in theater have come to the attention of both the Admission team and Theater at Emory.” and that they would love to see additional supplemental materials.
@dt8050 Same boat (except I got it for vocals, since I sing). I think I’m going to submit stuff, just because it can’t hurt right? I mean, they’re not going to reject us because of it, but it could inch us up a bit more if we’re on the cusp.
@AllStarOne yes you’re right it won’t hurt. Although what I don’t understand is that I’m not that much involved in theatre and am curious how they got to the conclusion that I am… I am the stage manager for all school related events (ceremonies, performance of the drama club etc.) but that’s pretty much it.
