Don’t you have to send in your subject scores anyways? Or can you just decide to only send the ACT? I thought Penn wanted all your scores no matter what. I’ll probably only send in my ACT too if we aren’t required to send in all test scores.

Anyways, I would say something like 30-35% chance to get in as a guess

Fantastic Rank/GPA. Less than stellar ACT’s/SAT’s but they’re not bad. Just not above the top 75th percentile, so it won’t hurt you that much. EC’s look alright, nothing really special, but your Eagle scout really stands out. Make sure your essays are fine tuned and top notch.

I’ll say ED Penn CAS is a low Reach.

Oh, and nice to see a fellow lifeguard on CC!

Yeah I’ve been working on my common app essay for a few weeks now and I think I’ve improved upon it as much as I can, so now I just need to get going on the supplement. Oh and isn’t lifeguarding the greatest job ever?? =D

I’m also doing RD at:
Duke
Columbia
Chicago
Georgetown
Emory

eh, we’re missing a very crucial part of your resume:
either 1) your gpa, or 2) how competitive your high school is.
for example, the top 50 of my hs are all applying to top 20 schools, but some schools being top 3 means nothing D: so it’d be good to know! i’d assume you’re in a decent high school tho :] however, idk how Penn’s gonna work out. Back in my sister’s year (when it was slightly less competitive) she got in with a 1500/1600 and she was one of the best debaters in the nation. i’d say 50% with ED? good luck tho! it’s a wonderful place. also! good job on AP tests and SATIIs, that’ll boost your resume.

sorry, GPA is 3.9 UW. My school is not so decent lol. It’s only competitive in the top 5%. And I’m not submitting my SAT I or subject tests to Penn, I’m going to use my ACTs instead. How do you think I’ll do with my RD schools that I listed above?

i’d say you have few things to stand out,but it looks good
you have a very competitive ACT score
mid-match, i think, Upenn is also my first choice…
