Hi everyone! I’m a junior right now, and I’m beginning my college application process. Boston University has been my #1 school since freshman year, and I intend on applying as a Comparative Literature major, but I’m not sure if I should go ED or RD.
-
Would applying ED considerably help/hurt my chances of admission, or would my chances not be changed by much? I know ED helps a LOT at some schools such as Northwestern; where would Boston fall on the spectrum?

What is BU’s financial aid/scholarship situation like for early applicants? Not too many people from my school have applied to BU in the past so I don’t really have any frame of reference when discussing ED with my parents/counselor. Finances are definitely a conversation to have with my parents but any information would help us with coming to a decision.
My GPA is on the average side of BU’s acceptance pool, but my SAT is a bit higher than its middle 50% range.
Here's my info:
GPA: 3.65/4.0 Unweighted
SAT: 1480 (740 in both sections)
SAT2 Chinese: 730
AP Spanish: 5
AP USH: 5
AP Lang: 5
AP Euro: 4
Demonstrated interest: Attended every BU info session at my school and in my area from freshman-junior year, flew to Boston and visited campus in sophomore year, emailed admission rep a couple times.

Any insights you may have about BU and BU’s admissions would be greatly appreciated!! :’)
