I got into Weinberg through ED and am wondering how low my grades can be before Northwestern rescinds my admission. I got a C, a D, and 2 Bs in the third quarter, and probably won’t be doing much better during 4th quarter either. But I kept straight As the first semester, so that will buffer my final grades to about one C and 2 Bs. I go to a public school and am taking 3 AP classes and 3 regular classes, and took 2 dual credit college courses during the 1st semester, where I got As. Are my grades, considering the rigor of my schedule, I know its not That rigorous, bad enough to get my admission rescinded? My transcript will only show my final grades so it won’t include any D because of the As I received in the first semester, but might have a C and a couple of Bs. But will they investigate into my second semester grades and notice the D and Cs and see that as a not “successful completion of high school?”
D’s on your final transcript are bad. C’s are probably OK.
Note that most HSs don’t have quarters (just semesters), so I doubt they would look beyond your transcript.
