Tinas started a thread last night about how her life was over and how she was gonna kill herself, so I'm guessing she got rejected. I think mods deleted it.

i think tinas was overly obsessed with jhu. I mean...it's nice to really want to go to a school...but that's over reacting

I did not see her thread, but I will say that any student who thinks his or her life is over because he or she was not admitted to a particular school probably lacks the maturity to attend that school. Life's lessons can be learned from success as well as disappointment. Some of the smartest, happiest, and most successful people I have ever met could not have been admitted to JHU.

I agree completely. I mean, how can you be ready to go to college when you react like that?

wow congrats to everyone who got in! you all have to help me next year when i apply!

have fun at jhu!

look forward to meeting everybody!

Don't worry. The campus is very safe. You'll likley never go into the bad parts of baltimore.

Stats:[ul]
[] SAT: 1380 / 2080 (a little low, I know... only took it once.)

[/ul]Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: My AP Eng Comp teacher loved it, as did a few other teachers who read it. They barely edited it (which made me nervous at first). For my money in my pocket essay, I wrote about being in Tokyo for a day (which I actually did).
[] Teacher Recs: Great, I'm pretty sure. One teacher I knew since freshman year for 3 classes, and the other teacher I am taking a second class from. (1st: Biology, Anatomy, AP Bio; 2nd: Precal, AP Calc)
[] Counselor Rec: Must've been good. She's known me for a long time.
[] Hook (if any): I don't htink I had much of one.
[/ul]Location/Person:[ul]
[] State or Country: Washington State

[li] Gender: Female[/li][/ul]Other Factors:
General Comments: I had a lot of music related activities on my app - I am really strong musically. My interview went AMAZING, and my interviewer and I really connected. I ended up talking a lot about my future, and how my heart is set on being involved in working abroad with the Peace Corps and related groups. My app reflected this with trips to other countries to work with orphanages and such.

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE

arent there any rejects this year in ED? i think JHU has been very generous in deferring all the non-suitable candidates.

anyways, congrats to all those who have got it and my sincere hopes that tina is fine out there

roare congrat on ur personal statement...my ap english teacher only read the first page and told me it was unrealistic and didn;t read on...=(...but my ap gov teacher loved it =D

If I got the e-mail saying that I have been admitted under the Early Decision program, and my first choice major was Biomedical engineering, does this mean I was accepted to BME as well? Since the e-mail says they WILL see me next year, that means I am bound to the school. And the only case in which I would not be bound is if I was not accepted BME. Could anybody clarify this?

no you have to wait for the package for bme
