I was gonna wait til tmwr night to make this thread but there's about 36.5 hours left before 12/15, 3pm EST so it's jus around the corner, right?

Alright so the suspension's building up....
I'd like to extend a warm congratulations to EVERYONE who applied ED; we've put great heart and effort into this. We've come a long way - some of us even before nov. 15th. Now the determined moment has come....

Let's try to keep this thread as organized as possible. Here's a suggested guideline :)

DECISION: Accepted/Deferred/Rejected

I understand those who did not get in may not want to post alot, but for those who did:

Full Name:
Gender:
Location:
Major:
Hobbies/Interests:
Personal Websites: myspace/xanga/etc so other acceptees can get in touch with you...
Email/IM:
One thing about ur app that you think stood out:
One thing you hope to accomplish at JHU:
Plans after JHU?:
One random fact about yourself:

Of course you can add or subtract to it as you like, but I think those would be interesting to be answered. I tried to stay away from the entire SAT scores/GPA/ECs/Recs cuz I'm sure at one point or another we have all posted that somewhere here and it may dishearten some non-acceptees if their score was higher but didn't get in, or whatnot.

Being accepted as ED allows you to get priority dorm selection and you also get to choose ur roommate if you'd like. Since we've all been "hanging out" on this CC thread for over a month now, I thought it may be a potential pool from which to choose a roommate.

Once again, Congratulations and Hugs from me to Everyone!! :) [[To acceptees: You deserved it!!]] [[To all others: Don't give up hope and never stop working hard!! :) ]]

wow. now that i've read a lot of the blogs/articles on the jhu admissions site, i wanna go to jhu even MORE badly, and all my ivy league 2nd thoughts are GONE GONE GONE. which means..that if i get deferred or rejected, that'll suck even more. but then again, there are other colleges out there for me, and if i didn't get in, there is somewhere else God's intended for me to go to...

to all accepted EDers: we should make t-shirts with 'CCer' written on the chest and wear them to the orientation day! (i feel like im so sure im gonna get in) :(

Full Name: My friends call me Doofy

Hobbies/Interests: White Water Kayaking and biking
Personal Websites: www.facebook.com (aka the stalker network)
Email/IM: Message me if you really want to know
One thing about ur app that you think stood out: Don't remember I applied 2 years ago
One thing you hope to accomplish at JHU: Graduate on time
Plans after JHU?: Grad school
One random fact about yourself: I biked across the country as part of a group called the Hopkins 4K for Cancer (www.hopkins4k.org) check out the website, the group does it every summer

I actually did start working on other apps...in fact I have already submitted a few of them and even done a few interviews...all in anticipation of my impending rejection...

haha
good luck guys...just by posting obsessively here, we show tremondous amount of interest. lol
and christina, i like ur questions, adds a personal touch to it...:)

BTW...I don't mean to be a jerk by constantly complaining about my chances...so I just wanted to wish all of you guys good luck in anticipation of tomorrow...

Now, I'm not applying ED (RD, however) and I know that many will be rejected.

I DO know, however, that people who use the cc board are a very motivated bunch of people, so you guys probably have better chances than most. It is seriously crazy that such a talented group of people would have such low confidence about getting in.

Good luck to you all, and I hope to see you at jhu next year.

is this the official ED thread? cuz i'd think the "zuma" format.. as some like to call it.. shuld be used.. it was used in all the other threads.. and it reads as follows:
